A Year to Remember: David VosekalnsThis year has been filled with memorable moments and meaningful growth for senior David Vosekalns. One of the biggest highlights this year was the cross country team winning back-to-back state championships, a testament to the team’s dedication, discipline, and unity. Another unforgettable experience was the team’s trip to the Woodbridge meet in California. “Getting one last chance to go on the Woodbridge trip was a huge highlight for me.” Beyond competition, some of the most impactful moments came during simple team traditions, like pasta dinners, where friendships were strengthened and team chemistry grew.The journey to becoming a distance runner wasn’t always easy. In fact, it didn’t come naturally at first. “Distance running did not come naturally to me. His commitment to student-athletes and the growth of the program has left a lasting impact on Glendale Prep athletics.We are proud to announce Trever Penny as the new Head Coach of the Glendale Prep Football Program.Coach Penny’s journey with GP began as a school volunteer, with no initial intention of coaching. Wanting simply to support a program that played such a meaningful role in his own development, he stepped in to help create the same opportunities for students at his children’s school. When Coach Addicott later invited him to join the staff as a special teams assistant coach, Coach Penny admits he was hesitant.
