Student Athlete Spotlight: Daniel Andersen For Glendale Prep senior Daniel Andersen, the past year has been filled with unforgettable moments, championship performances, and meaningful relationships with teammates and coaches. One of the biggest highlights came during the cross-country season, when Glendale Prep repeated as state champions. The victory was especially meaningful after the team had lost to Hopi earlier in the year. Using that defeat as motivation, the team came back stronger and delivered when it mattered most to secure another state title. Another memorable moment came on the basketball court. Glendale Prep captured the region championship with a win over North Valley Christian Academy (NVCA). Andersen recalled how focused the team was throughout the entire game and how composed he felt during the big matchup, as the group stayed locked in from start to finish. His commitment to student-athletes and the growth of the program has left a lasting impact on Glendale Prep athletics.We are proud to announce Trever Penny as the new Head Coach of the Glendale Prep Football Program.Coach Penny’s journey with GP began as a school volunteer, with no initial intention of coaching. Wanting simply to support a program that played such a meaningful role in his own development, he stepped in to help create the same opportunities for students at his children’s school. When Coach Addicott later invited him to join the staff as a special teams assistant coach, Coach Penny admits he was hesitant.
