One of her proudest athletic moments came at the prestigious Woodbridge Cross Country Race in California, where she placed first against top competition. “It was an amazing experience,” she shared. “I’m incredibly grateful for my coaches who prepared and trained me so well.”That California trip also included a memorable visit to Disneyland with her teammates, an experience she describes as one of her favorites. Sharing the trip with her older sister made it even more meaningful and unforgettable.Competing in both cross country and soccer, she values the bond formed with her teammates just as much as the competition itself. Pushing one another to improve has strengthened friendships and reinforced a belief she lives by: hard work always pays off.Athletics

Coach Maza is an experienced golf instructor with over 10 years dedicated to the sport. Based in Tempe, Jon is known for helping golfers of all skill levels elevate their game through personalized coaching and innovative techniques.Starting young in competitive high school golf, Jon developed a deep passion for the game, which eventually led to coaching high school teams. Currently pursuing PGA Membership through the Professional Golf Management Program, Jon stays current with the latest methods and trends in golf instruction.Over the years, Jon has coached a wide range of players, from beginners to advanced golfers, and has a talent for identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. His commitment to student-athletes and the growth of the program has left a lasting impact on Glendale Prep athletics.We are proud to announce Trever Penny as the new Head Coach of the Glendale Prep Football Program.Coach Penny’s journey with GP began as a school volunteer, with no initial intention of coaching. Wanting simply to support a program that played such a meaningful role in his own development, he stepped in to help create the same opportunities for students at his children’s school. When Coach Addicott later invited him to join the staff as a special teams assistant coach, Coach Penny admits he was hesitant.
